It doesn’t come with advanced health sensors like the Apple watch series 6 or the always-on display. However, it has everything we love about the Apple watch series but with comparatively less price. Its fitness tracking features are as good as ever, and who can miss the extraordinary battery life?

In terms of power and features, this watch is similar to the Apple Watch Series 5 and 4. We are presenting our Apple Watch SE review, where you can get to know all about its price, availability, battery life, and special features. So let’s get to it!
Price and Availability of Apple Watch SE
Apple Watch SE has different price ranges depending on whether you opt for a cellular edition or the GPS-only version. Furthermore, it also depends on whether you get the simple Solo Loop / Sport band or the advanced Braided Solo Loop.
The price of the Apple Watch SE starts from USD 279 if you get the 40 GPS version. On the other hand, for the 44mm case, it will cost USD 309. When you opt for an LTE version, the cost will increase slightly. The 40mm model with LTE starts from around USD 329, and the 44mm version is for USD 359. Hence, we can say that you would need an additional USD 50 if you want the LTE version of the Apple Watch SE.
However, when we see the apple watch SE vs series 5 comparison here, the latter’s price range goes up to as high as USD 849, whereas the Apple Watch SE goes as high as USD 359.

Certain Apple Watch SE features make it exceptional and a cost-effective alternative to other Apple Watches. When it comes to the design, it’s similar to that of the previous Apple Watch series. However, the watch will be available with an aluminum case only. However, you can also choose between gold, silver, and space gray finishes.

Although it may be disappointing to notice that it doesn’t have an always-on display, you will like how it comes to life with a simple flick of the wrist.

Apple Watch SE Battery Life and Charging
The Apple Watch SE Battery life is similar to the Apple Watch Series 3 and 6, which is about 18 hours. However, in terms of using GPS and playing music, the Apple Watch SE battery life is shorter than Apple Watch Series 6.
When it comes to another difference between the Apple Watch SE vs Series 5 and 6, you can see that the Apple Watch SE charge time is 2.5 hours. Meanwhile, the Apple Watch 6 has a battery life of 90 minutes.

Apple Watch SE Features
Some of the Apple Watch SE features may help you decide whether it’s the right choice for you or not. Check it out below!

Health Features
The Apple Watch SE features are incredible in terms of health and fitness. This less expensive model comes with similar health features to the Apple series 6, which include the same gyroscope, accelerometer, and always-on altimeter.
Alongside, it also comes with noise monitoring, fall detection, international emergency calling, and emergency SOS. These features aren’t available on the Apple Watch 3, which makes the Apple Watch SE comparatively better.
Unfortunately, the Apple Watch SE doesn’t have blood oxygen monitoring or ECG features. However, it can still monitor your heart rhythm and give alerts if there is something unusual with your heart rhythm.
WatchOS 7
The Apple Watch SE also includes sleep tracking features to track your sleeping time moderately. Furthermore, along with that, it also has a fitness app and a hand-washing app. The fitness app of Apple Watch SE includes new work presets like functional strength training, core training, cool down, and dance.
The watch also comes with automatic activity tracking, where it can automatically start tracking your activities such as walking, running, etc. In addition, its hand-washing app allows you to understand when your hands are actually clean while you are washing them.
Smartwatch Features
Apple Watch SE acts as one of the best extensions of your phone on your wrist. It helps you do a wide variety of things from your wrist. Whether you want to control smart home devices, receive or make calls, check directions, listen to music, exercise and whatnot, the Apple Watch SE helps you with it all.
It has a variety of customizable watch faces. Furthermore, its latest Family setup allows you even to manage the Apple Watch for your kid. You can customize it by getting specific goals your kids can achieve, limiting certain features during their school timing, and even sending them allowance money. If you get an LTE version, you will also be able to monitor your kid’s location.
Editor’s Note
I don’t think that’s a better affordable, well-rounded smartwatch made by Apple. From the price and design to the features and performance, the Apple Watch SE is incredible. Yes, it does lack some features like the ECG app and blood oxygen monitoring. However, it’s quite a good bargain when we throw light on its other features and battery life.
When it comes to the overall views, this Apple Watch is great. However, if you have a little high budget, Apple 5 SE would be a better choice for comparing the pricing and performance. Nonetheless, the Apple Watch SE isn’t a wrong choice itself, although with fewer features.
